What We Do
We are on a mission to combat period poverty in Africa by providing sustainable resources, education, and community support, to ensure young girls can embrace their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.
Community Workshops
Facilitated menstrual education for students to reduce stigma and encourage positive conversation on reproductive health is the cornerstone of our community-based workshops. In many rural areas, silence and misinformation surrounding menstruation can lead to isolation and shame. Our workshops break this silence by creating a safe, inclusive space where students can ask questions, debunk myths, and learn the science of their bodies. By engaging young people in these vital conversations, we are not just teaching biology; we are fostering a culture of empathy and support. This community-led approach ensures that reproductive health is no longer a taboo subject, but a celebrated part of growing up, empowering an entire generation to advocate for their well-being and support one another with dignity.
Sustainable Kits
We provide reusable and environmentally-friendly menstrual kits from reputable brands to bridge the gap between necessity and affordability. Disposable products are often a luxury that families cannot sustain, leading many girls to resort to unsafe alternatives. Our sustainable kits offer a dignified, long-term solution; made from high-quality, absorbent fabrics, these pads can be washed and reused for years. This not only protects the local environment from plastic waste but also grants girls the financial independence of never having to worry about the recurring cost of pads.
The 12-Month Calendar
For many young girls impacted by period poverty, the arrival of a menstrual period isn't just a biological milestone—it is a monthly source of anxiety that often leads to missed school days and social withdrawal. By providing a 12-month menstrual calendar, we empower these girls with the gift of predictability and body literacy. This simple, paper-based tool allows them to track their cycles, anticipate their periods, and prepare hygiene supplies in advance, effectively ensuring they can manage their cycles with education and dignity.
